Post My wheels

Here are a few pics of my wheels, before and after I removed the clear coat and paint. Should I paint them or powder coat them? What color should I do it? I'm planning on doing the whole thing.

I'm learning towards a black, but what kind, gloss, flat....

First one is the before pic:

And now the after pics:

What do you guys think?

Thumbs up

Man, you did a good job stripping them. I've got to know...How did you do it? I've sanded the rim part by hand and it didn't look half that good. However, I did get excellent results with the urethane wheel paint I used. At least I think it was a urethane paint. It was made by plasti-kote. Anyway I have been thinking about refinishing the center of my rims with black like they were originally but then getting the outer rim chromed. I don't even know if that is possible but I think it would look cool. I wouldn't paint them all black though...Just my 2cents.

I used an aircraft paint stripper. I still need to sand the outter rim. What if I painted just the outter part black and left the inner the way it is....

Powder lasts longer than paint. Most wheels nowadays are clear coated in powder from the factory. Without some coating, either anodization or powder or paint you'll have high maintenance keeping them clean.
