This car will NOT cool down. New radiator, hoses, and reservoir last Sept. New belts rollers and updated water pump last week. Since the new water pump was put in this car wants to run on the 3rd line or higher. I bled the systen to death, mouth to mouth, steady stream of coolant out the bleeder valve, three different thermostatsall the same. I can go down the highway with the fans running at 60mph and the thing is between the last line and the red zone. The hose into the top of the block is hot enough to fry and egg on, but the reservoir and lower hose are only a bit hot but not even close to being as hot as the top hose. Im completely stumped and dont have a hell of alot of money right now to fix this. PLEASE HELP IF YOU HAVE ANY IDEAS!!!

Make sure you are putting the thermostate in correctly. With the spring facing the pump.

Had the same problem,

Was the thermostat and radiator hose. Water wasn't getting through the system which is why it didn't matter how fast I drove it wouldn't cool down.

I ran the car without a thermostat in it last week. I could drive all over with the AC on and it wouldnt leave the 1st mark (although with the AC on the fans are always running) I noticed that on the original termostat (yes the one that came with the car new) opening on the original was quite a bit wider than the other three I had. (Original was about as wide as a quarter, the others are all about the size of a nickel) I did have the sprin going toward the inside of the pump.
