The wife and I are seriously debating this. 11 hours is quite the haul for a car currently on jack stands.

Will anyone be coming through Des Moines on 80? You may need to keep your eyes pealed for a red 924s on the side of the road.

I've been out of town (way out) the past two years, but I'm looking forward to the getting back to the 'Fest!

My little buddy Ahmed liked his 944 Fest T so much, he wore it for the next 6 days (thanks Travis).

got my time off approved so I will be there! My brother and I plan on bringing my two 944 turbos. gonna be an awesome 6 hour cruise, especially the way home at night as I will have the biggest smile ever like I did last year. Nothing like cruising in cars you have built from the ground up. less than 1 month away. My black 951's motor is being broken in as its my daily now. see you all there!

Regarding the track event, the info section contains a link to the PCA DE page, which says

The car owner must certify that the car is safe to run on the track and that the car has been inspected by an regionally approved person or shop within thirty days prior to the event.
Does that apply to the 944Fest track event? If so, how do I find an approved person/shop in my area?

You can tech it / sign off yourself or bring this sheet to a local mechanic to go over the car. Just make sure if you do it yourself that you go over each point on the sheet. There will be an additional inspection at the track and if something doesn't pass, you will not be allowed to drive until it is fixed.
Now the car does not have to be spotless, we know that almost every 944 has a drip here or there when it sits overnight, but we absolutely cannot have a dotted line of fluid following you around the track.

I will post this up to the 944Fest page today as well.

Anybody need anything? We'll be bringing our trailer, the Club Sport, and the 941.

I have a short 5th Audi trans (non-LSD) removed from a 924S. Crated and ready to go. Cheap.

I have a plastic bin full of 2.5L top end bits from the same car...timing belt broke, so valves are bent, but the head, cams, cam tower, intake, TB, etc. are all good. Super cheap...say $25, but you have to take the whole bin!

I have some black interior bits for pre-85 cars, some nice gauges, etc.

We'll have Stage8 bolts, PowerFlex bushings, and a Hi-Torque starter on display.

What else do you need?

Ideola -

I can use another A/C delete alternator belt (or two) and rear hatch struts. I was planning on ordering today or tomorrow. If you have some on hand - I'd prefer to get them from you.

In fact - I would like to obtain a belt before the trip (please let me know if you have one).

I am no longer a member here (just a freeloader).

My guess is you have an old address. Try adding dot com to my user name...(and removing all of the spaces).
