Powersteering rack replacement
After I get my car back from the bodyshop I would like to tackle one of my last leaks on this car. (Should I even say that?) My rack is puking fluid and needs to be swapped out. I have heard mixed reviews of the the Autozone "Lifetime" Racks. Some people have had great luck with them others not so much. I don't see my powersteering lines leaking currently, but I guess it would be a good time to replace them?
Is there a good thread or tutorial on how to R&R the rack and lines? Can the lines be replaced with standard rubber hose and hose clamps? I will be doing this swap in a garage that isn't mine so I would like to minimize the time it needs to be there.

Rennbay has a picture tutorial on their rebuild kit for the rack.

Just rebuild it! I just did mine. Took all day, but its not very hard. There are great tech articles with great pictures to rebuilding it your self. Ian, from 944online, one of RL's buddying companies, has a great write up with pictures on how to do it. The re-seal kit is cheap. I would highly suggest doing this your self, and save tons of money. Even if you buy a rebuilt rack, then you need to replace the ps reservoir anyways, as the filter will be dirty and have dirt trapped in it, which will get circulated back into your rebuilt/resealed rack, and you can have leaks again. Clarks Garage also has write ups on how to do it.

Hahaha, just decided to look at the link posted above me, after posting my response, and noticed that the link I posted, is the exact same write up as provided in the link above my post. Lol

Yes, thats a very good thing to be concerned of, and can absolutely lead to leaks with in a month, that is of course, IF it is NOT defect free. You must have a good eye to find defects in it. I fortunately, not to brag, have a trained eye for sorts of blemishes. As I graduated vocational school for precision machining, and ran high performance CNC mills with nearly every type of metal there is for close to 7 years right out of HS, I am positive my rack (at least) will suffer from no such leak again for as long as those seals stay new and dont get hard and shrink.
