Default Front Tow Hook

Does the 85.5 NA accept a front tow hook like the Turbo does? Or do I have to drill my bumper or frame? Any one done this, pics, instructions?
thanks

iirc on the na its only the Euro front bumpers that have that under the rh rubber bumper pad.

Yeah, the NA's just use the big round hole on either side of the aluminum bumper. On the turbo, there is an aluminum bumper behind the plastic covering - and that aluminum bumper has a piece machined for threads attached to it.

If you can get hold of a rh front euro bumper mount you could probably swap out the US bumper damper on that side. You'll just need to drill a hole to access the threads on the mount for the toe hook.

So there's no alternate or option for NAs? How do NA track cars hook themselves up?

KLA makes a receiver block, requires drilling a few holes in the bumper though. I had one on my n/a, installed it behind the front license plate.

Ive seen many ways of doing it, including tow straps running off the bumper shocks.

Here is a link to what others have suggested, I would have done this, but I put to much time and money into shaving my front and rear bumps to just drill new holes.

yeah, the turbo hook up is very strong. You can actually pick up the whole front end with it even with the motor installed and bumper on. That is how I lowered mine off of my tall jack stands.

heres a quick picture of my newest 951. I took it outside to clean the engine bay and used the engine hoist as the front cross member and steering rack are not connected.

Eh... I don't think lifting by the tow hook puts the forces on it it was designed for... from what I'm told.

For the track - Just use some nylon webbing and tie it in somewhere.
