Just thought I'd give an update, since I'm sure you're all dying to know:
Finished the following job:
-belts - all
-balance and crank seals
-tensioner roller
-distributor & rotor
-power steering clamps and seals
-ps fluid flush
-gauge cluster reflectors
-led gauge cluster lamps
-odometer gear fix
Everything running smoothly - idles much more quietly and sweetly than before!!
For you seasoned guys, this is a "so what?", but I had never tried anything on this scale, and couldn't have done it w/o your help and the excellent videos from Van and others.
Thx for all your help!
Now, just have to figure out where that hashy gear train sound is coming from...and that creak in the driver door....and that leaky taillight...

USE CAMSHAFT MARKS
I turned my engine until the flywheel mark says OT and the line is centered in the window, but my camshaft mark was 180 degrees away from the index mark on the housing. Lined up the camshaft sprocket mark, and the OT mark lined up again. I will pull the #1 plug, and rather sure the piston will be at its highest.
