Post Power Steering Removal

I've almost got my power steering removed but I cannot figure out how to get the universal joint disconnect from the rack and pinion.

I have followed the directions from the factory service manual but I'm stuck. I've removed the bolt on it but what now?

Please, any help would be great. Co-workers are probably getting tired of giving me rides

Thanks,
David W. <img src="graemlins/burnout.gif" border="0" alt="[burnout]" />

IIRC, the entire process was covered extensively in last month's Excellence...might be really helpful if you picked up a copy.

good luck!

Bron,
Where can I get an last month's Excellence (January). Do they have a website?

If you have it can you describe that one step for me?

Thanks a mill,
David W.

It's a friction fit once you get the bolt off.

Squirt it with Liquid Wrench, wait 20 minutes, take a big screwdriver and pry it off, or beat it with a rubber mallet.

The fun part's getting it back on...

Yeah, you have to wedge a screwdriver in the slot on the clamp and spread it out a bit.
