Alright some more questions for everyone out there,
1. What are some modifications I could make to a 944? Some basic, or some complicated(Turbo, Chip, etc...).
2. Are there any clubs in the North East Ohio area?
3. And...What are some good online clubs or sites with 944 in them
Thanks
Cuddy

Welcome Cuddy! You've asked a few questions and I've got a few answers for you. You have already found the BEST 944 site on the internet, AFAIK. Peek around here, search the archives, ask some questions and you will learn a lot. As far as clubs go, I always recommend the PCA to folks. The Porsche Club of America is somewhere around $45 a year, and you will get 2 publications..Panorama, a great all porsche monthly, and your local newsletter telling about local events. The PCA sponsors Drivers schools, (Yeeehaw!), autocrosses, tech sessions, social gatherings, and all kinds of other things. It will be the best $45 you spend on your car. I'm in Mansfield, near the Mid-Ohio track, and I belong to the MidOhio region of the club. There is the NOR, Northern Ohio region, which is mostly Clevelanders, And I think you would fit in with the Eastern Buckeye Region. Check out pca.org for more info. As far as mods for your car, ummmm... That is tougher. If you search the recent posts there is one where someone did considerable mods to a N/A (normally aspirated) 944 and was disapointed with the results. Frankly, it is hard to get more ponies out of that setup unless you go the supercharger route. ($$) Turbocharging isn't realistic because for the time and money invested, you end up better off selling the car and buying a turbo. When Porsche turbocharges a car, they make a lot of other mods too. Anyway, welcome to the gang. I'm hosting a 944 get together in July again this year, on the west side of Cleveland..maybe you'd like to join us. Here is some info. The date for the 2002 event looks like Sunday, July 7th.
