Post Check camshaft gear

I know the can shaft gear has a "mark" that is supposed to line up with the "mark" on the cover. Which of the lifters are are supposed to be at the highest point when the marks are lined up?

i think 1 & 3 cyls. but if you're doing it for belt replacement then when you line up the rear crank mark and the cam mark then it should be no.1
