Post Water Pump Update HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!

Does anyone know where I can get a documented procedure on updating the water pump on a 944 n/a. I know that when you update with the new roller and put the guide plate in, you have to cut part of the belt housing away to make it fit. Im just curious if this procedure is doumented somewhere. My mechanic, who I >thought< had experience with this (he works on alot of 911s) apparently put the new and updated pump in but used the old roller instead of the updated one and I think may have made other modifications rather than cut the shroud. Needless to say Im highly unhappy about all of this and my car vibrates so bad after 3k on the tach that it feels like youre being electrocuted when you grab the shifter

Scott,

The Porshe Parts and Technical Reference Manual shows what needs to be cut out and all the related update part numbers. Cost is $9.95 from www.My-Porshe.com If your car is vibrating like that it sounds as though your mechnaic did not align the balance shaft pulleys correctly, one tooth off and the engine will feel like it's shaking itself apart! The book is well worth the 10 bucks for all the info it provides. Good luck,

Mike

Thanks for the info. A buddy of mine said the same thing about being a tooth off. The main thing Im worried about is that he put in a new updated turbo pump but didnt use the update kit with the belt guid and updated roller.
