Post Sub $20k New Car?

I'm thinking about a sub $20k new car, what do you guys suggest I look into? Right now I'm considering the 2.5 liter Subaru Impreza RS, or even a sport wagon. I'd really like a WRX, but don't think I can afford one.

I'll consider any car (cheaper the better), but I really don't want to have front drive, and I'd love a turbo.

Any suggestions/opinions welcome.

Cool

Mazda Protege ES 5 speed. A good performing little car at a great price. 3/50k warranty and awesome reliability.
Try the new Mazda dealer in Crossroads.

There isn't one. Don't get the Impreza 2.5, it is only 23K for a WRX. Wait a little bit for a used one.

Have you been in a 2000-2001 Acura Intega Type R? They are truely awesome. I think they are 25K new. I don't what they go for now.

You could pick up an Excellent condition 1988-89 928 S4 for $20K.

I'm not sure if this helped any.

If you mean new when you say "new", maybe a Mustang. A v6 is well under 20k and is not shabby at all in performance. Also rear wheel drive. A GT is not much more than 20k if you want the v8.
