ebay - I bought a Victor Reinz head gasket set with intake, cam tower, exhaust, and some other gaskets. - $100
944 online - Vacuum Hose kit - $30
rockauto - 4x fuel injector o-rings and stuff - $15

many thanx.

the one thing that i dont get is, is the kit you bought that detects combustion gases. why did it not change color?

im looking forward to seeing the head gasket pics. and how bad it really was.

That I do not know. Hopefully I remember to take pics. It will probably be around 10pm by the time I have the head off so I may forget.

Pictures. It was much easier than I thought. The hardest part has been scraping the old gasket off the cam tower. I removed the head with the manifolds attached.
Right now I have the head torqued to 15ft lb and will do the final two stages tomorrow.
The fire ring on the number four cylinder is split.
