Post Early 90's 928 GTS - Performance question

Yeah, I know this probably belongs on the other board. But you're the guys I "talk cars" with so here goes.

The other day while picking up my car from the shop there was this AWESOME '92 (I think!) black 928 GTS with 18" Twists, big red calipers and a mild (original?) wing sitting there. In the past I have "straddled the fence" on the 928 styling. Recently I've seen this one and another Guards Red one online with the Twists and I think it REALLY helps the looks of this car versus the original wheels. What was this car's performance numbers? Is the GTS particularly hot, or?

EDIT - How would a car like this compare to say a new 996, Boxster S, Vette, Camaro SS? Just curious.

Dan-

For pretty comprehensive info on the 928 check out 928 Forever on all the models and performance figures.

As to how the car compares to more current machinery, I don't know 'cause I am not an owner. A good friend of mine has a '90 928 GT and it is a sweet ride. Thing pulls like crazy , but that is the nature of a large displacement V8.

Cheers
