You can pull the trim off and fix the uneven sides
Good to know, thanks, Bruce

Safelite is like tire shops, you get what you pay for, and most the times that includes a inexperienced tech working on your car.

I made the mistake of using them before. They did not install the Windshield properly so the top trim would not seat down properly. Also, that crappy Chinese windshield pits all to hell real quick.

I would check yelp or through a local dealer to get recommendations.

Safelight put a sekurit in mine as well, cost was around $550 or so but I had an insurance claim so it was like $100. The installer told me some interesting information that the porsche windshields are the only ones that come with urethane already installed on them wich makes the best seal since they're using urethane adhesive to install it and like compounds adhere best.

I had them replace mine just a couple of weeks ago. I cracked it in exactly the same way (replacing hood struts).

They came to my work place and did it in the parking lot in about 45 minutes. The guy did a perfect job as far as I can see and I am very happy with it.

It only cost me $100 because I claimed from my insurance but the total cost was around $650. There was none of the typical confusion you get from franchise car repair places when you mention Porsche...I suppose windshields just aren't that complicated

Yea I was/am very happy with mine.

I plan on having them replace the windshield in my 951 this summer.
