Post Just noticed this...

I was aware there was SOME distinction between the rocker panels on my 86 944 and 951's out there. It wasn't till yesterday at the autocross when I saw an S2 that I realized what the difference is:

There are two small linings that come down from the rocker panels on each side that make the profile of the car look a LOT better. Can these be fitted to the normally aspirated cars, or are the fittings on the turbo different on the rockers themselves? On a side note, does anyone find it conclusive that the blocks between a 944/951 are the same if it's not shown as an update in the photo above?

Sorry, I can't help, but I was wondering if you could forward me the full resolution file of that ad?

I've got a whole series of 944/951 full-rez ads on my website (including that one): 951 RacerX

Those side panels fit any 85.5 and later 944. The studs are already there for them to bolt on to (with expensive plastic proprietary Porsche fastener nuts). These are a great add-on, and really made my N/A look much lower (until I lowered it further....)

I think I would take an advertisment an illustrative but not conclusive of anything. Their point was that there are a lot of big and small differences between the models not to lay out every difference.

Yea, like Tom says.

Most of that suspension is IDENTICAL to the 944 NA suspension.
