Es3l,
I suppose it really depends on the extent of the damage. The head may not be good anymore, depending on the amount of damage caused by the valves slamming into the pistons. The cams may not be good either (I am having my 968 cams repaired right now, broken chaing sprockets, $300 per cam). You must also check for piston and bore damage. Sorry I don't really know any prices for valves and tensioners and such but maybe someone who has had these repairs done could give you an idea.
Good luck

I have seen S2 heads go in the Rennlist classifieds and on E-bay for around $2-3K. Then there is the chain and chain tensioner assembly - around $300, I think. Stock cams are about $170 each.
