How many would be interested in meeting up in Englishtown or the Central Jersey area? My folks have a home up there we can all meet at, have some lunch, and head out to the event.

Perhaps you all can see his Supercharged 911 Cab GT2 conversion. (Sill going back together)

Waterfest is Sunday July 21st. I will be in Jersey sometime late Friday. Probably heading to the shore on Saturday.

Post up if you are interested.

Why a Porsche sticker? Why not? I have always loved Porsche's, and in a way that sticker was a "window" into my future... ie. several years after sticking it there I ended up selling the VW and buying a Porsche. Besides, none of those stickers showed when the hood was down, it was a very clean looking sleeper.

i used to have a silver/blk '87 Scirocco 16V that i had the pleasure of driving right out of the showroom...unfortunately it met a tree at 60mph a few years later.

IanM - your pic sure brings back some great memories

Where on this board, forums,or anywhere else did you see anything about VWW'SSS??????, and besides your roomates and other braindeads of your young selfish ilk, drinking buddies,or lovers, male or female, what makes you think this forum is dedicated to your personal life. What in hell do you think e-mail is for???? PORSCHE,let me repeat, PORSCHE...

I believe that I have always conducted myself in a mature manner on this board. I have always helped when I can and have never posted anything negative about another person on this board. I do not believe that I am alone in feeling that this is a place where we can all share the important events in our lives. A good portion of the reason I am a car enthusiast is because of the sense of community. This past weekend was a great example of this. We all share a common passion. I realize that as a 19 year old I have a lot to learn about Porsches as well as life, but one thing I do know is that your comment was quite inappropriate and unwarranted. You owe me as well as the rest of this board an apology. Please do not perpetuate this any longer. Thank you.

Hey man, if you don't like it just don't read it. I for one try to think of myself as an open-mided car guy, and am willing to read a post (clearly marked OT) on someone else's dream machines.

Still think it looks like a smurfmobile, tho...

Am I the only person that thought the "rant" post was tongue-in-cheek? Maybe my sarcasm-meeter was acting up. geez.

I have a '56 Ford Customline, I suppose asking questions about tuning the carb wouldn't be appropriate.

smurf. 100%.

Is that an Autolite 1bbl or a 2bbl carb? Anyway I too am an avid VW fan. In the early to mid '90's I competed in many VW shows in the East. I won the VW point series championship in '94 & '95 w/ my "81 Rabbit Convertible that I named "Airhead". It was a heavily modified car. That car was featured in the Oct '94 issue of VW Trends magazine. I plan on installing a 1.8 turbo motor from a late model Golf/Jetta. So there you have it, another VW fan. You know that VW's and Porshes go hand in hand. IanM, very nice Scirroco, did you ever attend shows in the States? I used to compete against a Canadian fellow w/ a red '82 Jetta 2 door. Car was cherry and plenty quick.

Iou951 you will love that late model 1.8 TDI motor. I own a 01 Jetta and man what a screamer! It gets up to 100 in no time and with EASE! Doing it all at 49MPG. It also gives my 85-1/2 944 N/A a run for the money. As for that bonehead earlier, man you need to lighten up.
