Default 944 S2 Intake full of fuel. probable cause?

My S2 race car engine hydrolocked and is now seized up. I found a large amount of fuel in the intake manifold. My guess is that either the pressure regulator or the fuel damper blew and the vacuum in the intake sucked in a load of fuel, which in turn was sucked into the cylinders.

My question is: Is there any other way for a large amount of fuel to end up in the intake?

John:

Can't help you with your S2 hydrolock problem, but I think I maybe able to help you forget about it for a few minutes.

Came across this picture of you in one of your finer 944 Cup moments at the Cup Awards Banquet at VIR a couple of years ago.

No hydrolock problem that evening!
