Default DME relay jumpering question

I'm chasing down a no-spark problem on my 92 968, and both of my DME relays are also dead. So, in order to crank it, I've been jumpering the DME relay terminals. However, I don't want to dump gas into the cylinders, so I'd like to only jumper the terminals that close the circuit to allow power to the DME, and not to the fuel pump. I believe these are terminals 87 and 30 (I believe term. 87b energizes the fuel pump). Is there any harm in jumpering just terminals 87 and 30, and leaving 87b unconnected while I crank my engine to test for things like whether the tach needle bounces, and to make measurements at the DME connector while cranking the engine? Thanks.

30 to 87 shouldn't cause any problem.

Thanks, that's what I figured. But when doing anything that deals with the DME, it never hurts to get confirmation.
