Unhappy Help.! If I messed up the DME and/or KLR computer box, what can I do?

Hi, after I installed the chips of my car, it's been alive for few hrs, after that, problems appeared(the rpm can't go over 2000rpm-it stops supplying fuel once the rpm hits 2000)
and I am suspecting that I messed up the computer....(like some static fried up the compuer or something) what can I do? do i need to replace the whole computer box?? or there are other ways to save my car?;o
If I need to replace the computer box, how much it is gonna be?(i know it's not gonna to be cheap) ;(
Thanx a lot...!
Place help me, cos I am kinda helpless here

I am sure you tried this already, but just to make sure.. did you put the original chips back in? I know that on newer 911's if it detects an aftermarket chip it will limit your revs to 3000 or less. I am not sure if the 951 does this or not.

Otherwise, you can find a used DME on eBay for about $400. If your turbo DME is messed up that will be about $250. Or more. Depending on the week and who needs it most.

I had a similar problem with mine, it turned out that the throttle position sensor went junk. To check for this simply unplug it. After unplugging mine, the idle was high and the car ran rich, but it would run/drive. the new one cost about $50.00

While I don't own one (yet) my understanding from researching this topic (as the car I'm buying is chipped) is that only the 911 / 968 did this, not the 944 / 951. I'm really sorry to hear of your problems though, as it certainly can't be any fun expecting mind-numbing performance and getting Geo Metro results....
