Post I'd trade my 924/944/968 for a Porsche ????

Out of curiosity and to have a little fun, if you had to give up you current car (924,944,968), what Porsche would you rather have????

My very nice '88 Turbo S would sadly have to go away for a nice condition 924 GTS or GTR.

Mike

PS Derek Bell...if you're out there, I understand you have one the factory gave you as a gift for winning LeMans...I'd be thrilled to trade with you...even though I'm sure you've driven yours harder than I've driven mine.

959, 996, 993TT, 996TT, 968.

I would also trade it for a Audi S8 or an Audi TT.

But I would buy another 944 NA.

917 or 962 would do! A "sherman tank" for the street. I think I'm going to start a paintless dent removal company ... sheesh.

I would have to say the '01 996 Turbo that Jon and I saw at the dealer a few days ago. Right afterwards I got flashed by a camera. I should be getting my ticket in the mail soon.

OR

A 2002 911 Targa with Tiptronic. (Yes, I am getting old)

Mike,

Timely post. I am giving up my 86 951 for either an 88 "Silver Rose" S or a 928(86.5-88). If cost were no object, 924 GT, GTR, or GTS, 951 cab., 959(in silver), or a 904.

I'd have to go for a 993TT. I got to drive one once. It was very difficult to get back into my 951 after that....

Cool

As long as we're dreaming, we might as well dream big.
Here's the short list:
1.The new Carrera GT
2.996TT, six speed of course
3.993T
4.959
5.'73 Carrera RS
6.550 Spyder
7.968 turbo
8.951 Turbo Cup
9.Any post '80 911
10.951
11. Since I can't afford any of the above, I'll settle for a paint job for my 85.5NA

There are so many Porsche that I would love to have in my garage but the short list is as follows:

RSk Spyder
904
964 3.6 Turbo (or any 930 for that matter)
968 Turbo S (sure if I could get 1 of the 14)
928 GTS (w/ a supercharger just for kicks)

And of course I would have to have a 917k as a track car.

I would trade it for a plastic Camero Stuper Sport.

(Sorry that guy just cracked me up, I can't stop...)

A _proper_ 968 Turbo S... that being one with a 3.0 L 16V engine with Variocam.

I'll pass on the others.

Jim, actually pretty happy with what I've got now...
