Default 944 turbo S front hubs

Hello,

Back in August I sold my 89 944 turbo to my nephew. I didn't use the car anymore and he always wanted it. Anyway, he's done a few track events and is doing great. He had the car tech inspected and the front hubs are bad, the wheel bearings are turning in the hub. No big deal, right? Just buy new hubs. Well it turns out that Porsche doesn't make the front hubs anymore and the only replacements he can find are over $500 each! Does anyone have line on either known good front hubs or a more reasonable priced alternative?

This is for the 944 turbo S, so it has the big front brakes.

Thanks,
Barry

You can have them chromed and ground to size.
If you go with the purchased set I would liike to discuss purchasing your used set.

How do you get "$200 ea"? I see "not available".

And Barry, I'm in the same boat. The m030 hubs I bought used are both bent. I'm currently running 3mm spacers inside of the rotors with standard 944 hubs. An if-y setup. The Racer's Edge hubs are the only solution I've been able to find.

I don't think the standard hub with spacer is that iffy. A friend of mine ran that on the track for years without problem. The wheel bearing is the same, it's only the thickness of the hub that's different. The spacer is loaded in compression, and I don't see how it could fail.

However, I have a pair of the racer's edge M030 hubs with less than 100 non track miles on them, $700 for the pair + shipping.

The original 87 Turbo Cup cars with the 928S4 calipers used 3mm spacers behind the rotors w/ standard hubs. I don't think the M030 hubs were used until the production 88 TS cars. So I agree, there is no issue w/ running standard hubs and a spacer w/ M030 spindles and 928S4/Turbo S calipers.
