944/1 Electrical Issue will start and won't start
The car: 1985/1 944
Here's the issue. Driving the car one day, shuts off in the middle of the road. Bump the fuse panel, and am able to restart and limp back home.. Once home, won't start until I bump the fuse block and it'll start but usually cuts right back off. Replaced numerous relays, and I believe I've at least narrowed it down so all of you can help me. The car won't start until I bump the wires in the back, and then the DME relay will make an audible "click" and the lights pictured in the center console come on, and ONLY then will the car start, if the whole fuse block moves an inch it will "click" again, those lights go off and the car will turn over but never start. I've pulled the whole fuse block out to look for burnt wires and the whole lot, but to no avail I can't figure it out, and yes I did try replacing the DME relay.
Here's the picture of the lights in the console:
Thanks, I hope you can all help me, I'm ready to drive my 944 again!

take the fuse box apart and visually inspect the connections. something is broken in there.
or even start the car and start disconnecting things (one by one, but put the thing you took out back before taking something else out) and see which fuse or relay shuts the car down. make notes of it and then look for the broken wire..
