FWIW, I had bought a set of Euro fog/driving lamps for a prior 944S2. I purchased this 40mil protective film for them:

Click on "Important Fit Notes - Read" to confirm "Fog lamp and Signal Lamp Kit".

Now is the time to upgrade to the fog/driving lights. That is what I did when one of mine broke.

Well. I have a feeling ur fog light will cost more than a windshield. A windshield is definitely more annoying to look at everyday however. I had my windhsield replaced on my 84 for like $230. but those fog lights!? geez!
