Default Powersteering leak question...washers?

I have a newly developed PS leak. It seems to dripping from where the purple "X" in the picture. I thought it might be the pressure hose from the pump to the rack but the leak would probably be dripping from the center. The return line from the rack seems to make logical sense due to the location. There is nothing leaking from either boot or the middle.

I guess my question is. Is this return line prone to leaking...and could the copper washer replacement fix it? Does the pressure hose (pump to rack) ever leak where the rubber meets the metal end? I'm trying to gauge whether this is a washer issue or bad line issue.

Thanks,

The return line certainly leaks a lot. It could be running all the way down there and then dripping onto the rack itself. Maybe clean it all down with some degreaser and then re-inspect.

This kit (or one like it) can be your friend and save you money in the long run. http://www.oreillyauto.com/site/c/de...2323&ppt=C0014

So much more cost effective to trace leaks.
