Default Wiper Issues

The wipers on my 1990 944 cabriolet are sitting about 4 inches high on the windshield. What do you think this is from and what can I do to fix it.

Thanks

The problem is at the control module under the steering wheel. There are several contact points inside that get surface corrosion and develop high resistance. The repair involves dis-assembly and a touch of 1000 grit paper and electro grease. Unfortunately the units are riveted together and you'll have to drill those out and replace with long 10/#32 screws and bolts. First though you have to remove the wheel to get at it.

Thanks Jim! Will this help sluggish wipers as well?
