Wiper stuff (I've searched)
When I first purchased my 951 I had some slow wiper issues, the shop I used for my timing belt and water pump cleaned the grounds and it has worked flawlessly for the last couple years. This fall they started acting up again, but the plug contacts are still good.
The motor seems to get stuck in the down position, if I help the wipers they work fine until I turn them off and they go back to the 'off/down' position. If I hit over 90 the wipers start to scoot up slightly and if I turn them on they work fine until I turn them off also.
Bad motor or linkage?

Try the turn signal/wiper/cruise stalk assembly. Mine was partly bad and it killed the wipers ability to park correctly and also broke the intermit functionality. I got another used one and it fixed my problems. It could be part of your problem.

Try cleaning the grounds again before you pull the steering wheel. The wiper motor may need to be cleaned and new grease applied inside. You have to remove the motor from the wiper transmission in order to do the cleaning inside.
