Default Idle and running problem

OK I'm a bad 944 father. Last drove her around a month ago. Ran fine no problems. Yesterday I decided I would drive her to work today so I started her up and let her idle a while, long enough for the cooling fans to turn on and me to dust her off. Idled with no problems. This morning it was stalling anything I let off gas. Shuddered around 3K, would clear a little after 3k. It felt like it was shurging while driving. Turned around and went home, no foam in oil cap, all fluids were fine. She is an '83 all stock except throttle response cam. Any ideas?

I'd check to see if the plug has come loose on the AFM and/or the TPS. Also check vacuum lines on the throttle body, Fuel Pressure Regulator, Fuel Pressure Damper, Temp sensor under the intake manifold and on the Brake Booster. Might also be a plugged fuel filter.

Sounds an awful lot to me like AFM problems. Check the connection and if that doesn't fix it, pop the top off and inspect the wiper arm and contacts for a groove.

Also make sure nothing is causing the barn door to get stuck.

given the lack of use I'd say sticky injectors. They'l probably self clean after a longish run. make sure you've plenty of fuel in the tank . Hard starting and rough running is common with these cars after very little use and then stated with a near empty fuel tank.
