Default '89 Alarm Bypass

Hi Guys,
Yesterday I had to bypass the Alarm Control on my '89 951 due to starting issues. I researched both Rennlist threads as well as Clark's etc. and I followed it exactly. The Bridge between poles #1 & #4 (as described in Clark's) does NOT apply to my vehicle. It's #1 to #3 (Green Cable) I melted the #4 (Ground/Brown) the first attempt and finally figured it out with the help of a cicuit diagram. Just a word of advice for fellow "89 owners just in case you run into the same problem.
PS The Control had a 928 Part number and was not what I expected........

I believe Clark's also mentions this if you keep reading (later). It tells you how to relabel the diagram for late late cars, and the melting wire is exactly what happens if you don't! Thanks for the reminder though. I made the bypass, and the diagram, and put it in the glovebox!
