great job, I'm looking forward to watching the progress. I also started young and my dad drove nothing but station wagons. funny how "car guy" can skip a generation.

Still without a motor and so its been doing little things throughout the car. The two snags i hit are that the screws at the bottom of the glove box lid disappeared (anyone know what those screws were? i need to replace em) also the bolt at the gear selector/linkage keeps stripping the threads... Dont know what im doing they just seem not to work there.

HELL YEAH when's ur birthday? You may have me beat for "youngest rennlister" award

Good luck with ur project! Being a teenager driving a bright red Porsche around town goes well with your friends, not so much with the local cops

Cool

Btw: anyone got a pic of the bellhousing (back of it where TT mates to)? I'm thinking tht broken stud may not actually be what it seems.

try using a shopping cart w/ the top cut off leaving 6 or 8 inches of posts on to stabilize engine & roll engine under car. It's how I removed early Audi engines

My engine is currently hanging on a hoist waiting for me to pull the bellhousing off.
What photos do you want?

It was of the bolt below where the TT mounts too. I had a stripped bolt there but decided to cut my losses on getting to the RMS. It was replaced in Jan (i believe) but i wanted to get back there and replace it again for piece of mind (previous owner took it to an awful european shop in town). Thanks tho, Fara

Update:

I got the motor home after class today finally. I did water pump and was aiming to get on belts but the missing hardware for the covers delayed me. So when i got back it was dark and I couldn't wrench any more. (No electricity, so I cant work in the dark). Tomorrow, the Belts should be done and it should be getting placed back in the car.

So it looks like its in but I hit another snag... Cant get the bellhousing to mate to the TT/driveshaft. I tried to re-angle/realign but still being a major pain. My thought is to remove the Transmission and pull the TT back enough to mount up the motor and then guide the shaft into the BH. Any thoughts/ideas will be appreciated.
