Default 944 race seats

New to this forum, been hanging on the 997 forum gt2/gt3 but now my son and I are building a 944 spec racer. Any recommendations on race seats that fit well in the car. The car is fully caged.

We would prefer to keep them on sliders.

Thanks guys for your input.

Pretty much any seat will fit the car.

But how many seats fit you?

I just put some Sparco's in my 951. Kept the sliders.

Had to build an adapter from the seats to the sliders since
the sliders were 16" wide and the seats about 14.5-15".

I have Cobra Imola and Susuka's in my Chumpcar.

We originally had sliders -- but had issues with roll bar clearance and helmets.

Recaro's. These fit perfectly and are a straight forward to bolt in.

I hear good things about the cobra seats too.

Anyone have feedback those seats

So many choices and the problem is that you need to sit in them and that is hard to do over the internet

I appreciate the info guys.

I will be sitting in a set of recurs this weekend so that may help my decision

Cobra is very comfortable and has great placement on lap belt openings. I put a new Suzuka Pro GT in my 968 this year. Best go out and try some seats first. Don't be afraid to ask people at the track - they won't mind.

Recaro Pro Hans - halo in a 944 is a bit tricky/tight but mine is on sliders, worth the extra time getting it fitted than not having the side to side head (neck) protection.

If either of you sit 'tall', have a close look at the shoulder belt hole locations when you're sitting in a Recaro Pole Position. My shoulders completely block them, which is a no-go for harness use, though they're otherwise quite comfortable.

I have a Sparco Evo II sitting directly on the floor (no sliders) about midway in the range front-to-back, and an Evo II Plus as a passenger seat. Both seem pretty comfortable, and I use the driver's seat without a bottom cushion on track to get a little lower. The 944 is a low car with a fairly high floor.

Had a sparco with a halo but didn't like the feeling trapped. So went with the Sparco Pro 2000.
Both for me and my instructor. Both on sliders. Might be a touch high but i am only 5'9" and shrinking.

up to 986 and 996 will fit.

987, Cayman, 997 require modding.
