Default 944 turbo brake upgrade?

hey guys i want to grab a set of brake calipers from a turbo model porsche 944 to put on my 1984 944. Do they bolt up? would i need the turbo 944 master cylinder as well? I just want to know if its possible or a waste of time.

There are a number of threads discussing this topic...but its not that simple. Different calipers need different rotors which need different hubs which need different spindles. It's an easy upgrade, you just need multiple parts.

I did it on my 86 basically for looks and because I needed brakes anyway but it really isn't worth it.
You will need
- spindles
- struts
- rotors and such
- calipers
- 1/2" washers for rear
- new lines for front
- proportioning valve
Edit: Everything in this picture plus struts and lines.

Not needed for a na, but if you still want big brakes buy this: http://www.rennbay.com/944-big-brake-kit-p-83.html

Another waste of money, the brakes are no bigger and they perform no better than stock. Even says you use the same rotors as na, so how can they be "bigger"?

They are a waste, unless you need new brakes and find a good deal through very generous people on here.
I also forgot about the wheels since I already had fuchs.

I have a pair of 968 callipers for best offer. I went to 993 big brakes and don't need them. The car has 93000 and was not abused.

To fit the turbo brakes you need the 951 Fuchs. They were only made in 86 and they fetch a premium ($$$). 15" Phonedials will clear but 16" wheels are a better choice.

Those Willwood calipers look ok but you are still stuck with regular na brakes at the rear, swapping them for looks only is only doing half the job.

The original owner ordered 16" Fuchs for their 86 na....nice

I doubt many did that, big wheels were not the thing in the 80's.

If you are after better braking and not just looks, you may want to try a better brake pad and change your fluid.
