So I didn't give up and it's looking a lot better. I've cut out the tip of both brackets, grinded the bumper holes bigger with the dremel. Now, I would say that the side with the small bracket is actually great, the side with the long tube bracket is better, but would be alright if I had another small bracket. I even had help from my kid.

MAGK944, if you can find me a small bracket up in the UK, it would be really appreciated. thanks!

While you're back there take a soft toothbrush and clean the wax out of the gaps in you body panels, lights etc..........lol
