Default Video - PCA Club Race at BIR

Video a club member posted from the PCA Club Race at Brainerd Intl (MN) at the end of July. Compiled from 2 sprint races and a 1 1/2hr "enduro" over the wknd.

Smaller venue than some of the big name, centrally located tracks, so about 45 cars all together in one run group. Large enough track to handle that kind of speed differential between front runners and backmarkers.

A few 944s running to carry the front engine banner.

Watch to the 8:50 mark to see the oops....

Also had a rookie bump into the previous Club Racing Natl Chairman which cut his first race short, and had a 951 hit a concrete wall hard enough that it flipped over on its roof, slid across the track upside down and end up in the gravel trap on the outside of the corner. Otherwise, its usually a pretty tame event.

David Murry has been there the past couple years offering track talks and coaching, which is a good opportunity to grabs some tips/hints.

If you still had your G car, I would try to talk you into towing out here one of these years so I had some in-class competition....

I was up there dropping of my girls for my end of summer visit. Should have come up and watched. Sounds like Muldowney's oops was interesting. Heard he was already buying another by the end of the weekend though!

Awesome.. that first 30 seconds of roll-off is like watching Porsche history.
Great sounds!
