Default Transmission question

So I was doing some reading and found out that a 968 6 speed will fit a 951, I know some of you already know this but I didnt, So will the 968 tranny bolt in?? What needs to be modded? What year 968 is good for a 1986 951? I think it would be sweet to have a 6 speed, Any info, tips, tricks, and where to find would be great, Thanks guys!

not a whole lot to be gained, as the ratios on the '68 box are very short.

One of the axles is a different length on a 968... and there is no speedometer pickup sensor. Other than that, it is pretty much a bolt-in.

in case you want the 6 shift points,

i've got a box that's pristine and 4 spare gearsets that i will sell as a package.
