I need to get the flywheel resurfaced in prep for my manual swap to my my dull-as-all-getout daily driver a little less dull. Any experience/recommendations for a shop in western Queens, NY? I live in Astoria and work in Long Island City, so a place near my commute would be fantastic.

Kevin, look at Parts Authority locations. They have a bunch of locations around the area. I forgot which one my dad had an account with but they did all the machine work for his garage. They do a huge volume of work so by default they can do the easy stuff like resurfacing / balancing without a problem. I dont think all of them have machine shops but any of the locations should be able to tell you which ones do.

If your willing to take a ride, check out Colvin Auto in Merrick, they have a really good onsite machine shop that i use often. Its a trek for you though.

Thanks, I had no idea some Parts Authority stores had machine shops. I thought they were basically like Pep Boys stores. I think there's one in Willets Point that I could check.
