Default S2 Suspension Question

Orig 49k, right front wheel has a slight top-bottom play noticeable at the top of the assembly. Still rides solid at all speeds, however. Is the fix new strut assemblies (lh & rh....big $$)? Or is this something as simple as a mount or snubber?

This car has the Koni M474 option.

Unclear, you have play but where? What is exactly moving, the wheel or the strut assembly?

It is normal for the wheel to move very slightly, barely noticeable. It's due to the freeplay at the bearings when cold. If anything else is moving on the vertical plane it's either the outer a-arm ball joint or the top strut mount.
