Bear Mtn. drive
Aug. 26th, 10am departure from rest stop
meeting spot as normal: palisades pkwy rest stop near exit 5
take some back rods up to the winery and then if people are interested at after the food take some other roads through northern nj.
post up if you wanna go. i'm also going to put this in 993 section and probaby 928 section.

I'm going to tag onto your cross posts and invite y'all to come to our 928 Get Together on August 12:
Okay--we have a volunteer up in Pound Ridge near the CT border. Beautiful town, great driving to and from the town. He owns a deli with plenty of parking.
So I'm going to propose we leave Long Island around 8:30AM and plan to get there around 10AM. Along the way we can stop and meet up with the Westchester folks around New Rochelle and caravan over to the deli. There is plenty of parking-up to 25 vehicles and hopefully we can get some of the CT folks to join us. (OBehave??)

We grab lunch there and then drive towards Bear Mountain. The owner will join us for the drive in his 928. We can stop right before the bridge at an overlook if we like and take a quick group shot-if there are any spaces-there is a small parking lot:

Head over the bridge, come down Palisades-across Tappan Zee-then bring it home...
