Default 3 Prong Fan Switch in Early 944

Hi all. I replaced the radiator out my 83 with one from an 85.5. The fan switch in the new(er) radiator has 3 prongs. The 83 only has 2 prongs. I do not want to take the fan switch out, as that procedure is what caused the search for a new radiator in the first place.

Has anyone plugged the two wires to the 3 prong switch? And if yes, which two prongs? Unfortunately, the resistance between the prongs on these switches is open until it heats up. I have no good way of testing this while the radiator is out of the car.

Thank you,

Rob,

Thank you! It looks like pin 1 is for the AC, which is non-existent on my car.
