Check to see if there is 12 vdc at terminal #15 of the coil with the ignition on.
Have you bypassed the alarm?

If your battery is not good you can fight a problem like this endlessly. Make sure the battery is fully charged or better yet charge it and take it in to get it tested. Or replace with known good battery. Also, the battery connections need to be good. Do this first or all other work could be a waste of time.

Your earlier post said " My.ignition started acting strange like needing toturn the key slightly back, so my electronics would work. "

I think this is why John said that you have a bad ignition switch. It's possibe that the ignition switch makes the needed electrical contact to turn the starter over but not the needed electrical contact to get spark. If it is the ignition switch then all the other work you do is wasted and will not fix this.

I could be wrong. Sorry for being a bit blunt. Your vague posts aren't helping much.

i appreciate the info and being straight forward. i was pretty vague. ive run tests on everything and i think ive boiled it down to my distributor. i took it off and noticed it was dirty. i cleaned it but need to re install everything and try and start it. ill update as soon as i can, also my alarm was disengaged by the previous owner and he lost the key. unless it can turn its self on then im screwed lol

tested, still no luck. everything is either newer or cleaner then my buddies 924 and we swapped his parts over with no luck. if its not the coil/distributor/ignition wires/battery what could it be? also my spark plugs are a little dingy but rather new. any ideas?
