Default HVAC Fan speed

So I have the classic "only works on full blast" issue.

Bought a new HVAC control from a RL member...put it in...no change...so put my old one back.

Just got a new series resistor and put that in...no change.

Going to now try re-installing the RL-purchased HVAC controller...to see if both my resistor AND controller were both bad.

Short of that....any other suggestions??

Default hvac fan speed on high only. No low speed fan

I suddenly had a "high speed" fan only condition this week. No warning. Start the car one day, and noticed no difference in the fan speed until I switched it to "4" (high). I then did a forum search here, and heard about the resistor under the hood on my 86n/a. I cleaned the wire connections today, and I now have all my fan speeds back.thanks rennlist!

Also found a mouse nest in that area...geez looks like I'm part of the group now that I found a nest too!
