Default 1988 924 SE Value Check

What's a clean 1988 924SE with 20k original documented miles with no damage history in excellent all-around condition worth these days?

really awesome, but I don't think there's any market for them...

Say What?

On a recent post it was mentioned only 500 1988 924SE cars were imported to the US.
Butters is actually close to the resale price though.

The owner of the car might not agree and expect more but the 924S only valuable to a few people who appreciate the clean lines and performance of the '88.

The early history of the 1976 and onward Porsche 924--underpowered and electrical problems has left a bad mark on the car. The '88 with 160HP 944 engine did finally show the cars ability---but too late.

My '88 at 67K with up maintenance may be worth $4500.

Now, where is it so I can buy before you do?

GL
John

What I meant is there's probably only a couple people in the country at a time actually looking for one specifically, so it's hard to resell for much more than a standard 924s

Well, the one on ebay is 7500 right now. Looks like the current bidder is in it to win it.

I think the market is only right for someone passionate about the low miles and originality.

Really interested to see how the ebay auction finishes

When I was trying to sell mine I couldn't get much more than a standard 924S would have been selling for, one of the reasons I decided to make it a project car in the end. It will be interesting to watch this auction and see what the final price ends up being.
