Hey,
I have a 1989 944 turbo. The car does not get used much (barely at all). I just changed the timing and balance shaft belt and took the car for a 20 mile drive. This is the first drive of more than 1 mile in 6 months or so.
When I got back I popped the hood to look things over and I saw that the fuel pressure regulator is leaking. I pulled it and saw that the o ring is cracked. I installed a new o ring that looks to be about the same size but I still have a leak.
So, do I need a special o ring, a new FRP, or what?
Thanks,
Barry

Nevermind.
I poked around the internet and found that the o ring is the same as the fuel injector o ring. I have a few extra injectors so I grabbed one and installed it.
No more leaking after idling for 30 seconds but I'll go for a longer drive tomorrow.
Next up are new brake fluid and new brake pads front and rear. Then I get the new street tires mounted, and the car should be all set for my Nephew, who is buying it when he gets back from Afghanistan. He'll be here in the middle of august and I want to have the car all ready when he gets here.
