Default 944 turbo upper strut mount squeaking

I've hit a speed bump a bit too hard the other day.... Now my driver side upper strut mount makes a squeaking sound when I turn the wheels right or left.

I still have the oem.

Fixable? Or need to replace?

Are you sure its the strut mount? You could try repacking the bearings assuming you can remove them and the shield.

It's fuuny how it doesn't sound like the bearings... It sounds more like rubber to rubber kind of sound. I'll post a YouTube later

Maybe the mount collapsed and now the lower rubber is rubbing on the upper part. Sounds like you need a new strut mount. I think you can use a rabbit strut mount with some spacers.

Eric if it's sqeaking when you turn left or rigth probably your strut mounting (#10 in the diagram) is acting up on you.Now I do beleive you can get the strut mounting which is part # 944-343-071-00 which is listed for the 86/944.I know that up to date you have put a lot of your time & money in that 951,it will be up to you if you want to replace both the struts or just the mounting.Lol being 26 years old the struts should retire with full pension.Once again up to you.GL

Hi Ernie, I've already ordered the strut mounts from KLA industries. I've heard great things about them, quality/price. I have the sport adjustable yellow konis, still good, will keep them.
