For sale is a set of D90 wheels with tires off of '91 944 S2. Fronts are 16x7" ET55 and the rears are 16x8" ET52. The tires are Kumho ECSTA ASX 225/50/16. The rears have 20-30% thread left and the fronts have 60-70% thread left. The wheels are far from perfect and have curb rash but could be a great set for the track.

Does the 2nd from the right wheel have a piece of metal missing from it (6 o'clock)?

 

Yes, one of the 16x7" wheels have a small portion of the lip broken off. It is on the face side which does not affect the tire to hold air.

 

That wheel would not pass state inspection here in New York, and I would not consider it good enough for the track.

 

What is your opinion on that ASX tire?

 

really? harsh regulations..
there is always welding...one could weld a bit of aluminium there and then machine it off...would be like new.

 

I have not driven on ASX too much so I cannot really share any opinion.
