Default How to remove front turn signal assembly?

Something got kicked up by another car and shattered the signal lens and the bulb on my commute home. I am trying to remove the entire assembly as I can't get what remains of the bulb out of the socket but after removing all three screws it looks like it is still held on by something behind the bumper guards. How do you get these off?

IIRC they are held in by slots on the outboard side. Try pulling out slightly on the inboard side (that screw should come all the way out) then pull the unit forward and toward the center line of the car.

Thanks, I will try again. It felt like it was being held on by something else so I didn't want to damage things any further.

Nope, it's still attached somewhere else on the inboard side. Also the little nut plate of sorts that the outboard screw goes into fell off and I cannot get it back in without removing the assembly. On top of that the bulb itself will not come out no matter how much I pull or turn on the base with needle pliers.
