Default Coolant compatibility

In there now is VW/Audi ZVX 237 105. Perfect, but they don't make it anymore. Before that I used to use Pentosin G001100, which I can still find. Also perfect. Both are blue-blue green.

Can I use the Pentosin to top off the system containing ZVX?

I don't want to flush and start fresh with something new just yet.
Many thanks.

...not a lot of clear, trustworthy info out there, but I now believe:

ZVX 237 105 = Pentosin G001100 = Pentosin NF = G11 = blue.

I am going to top off with Pentosin NF based on their product page and Spec sheet

Blauparts has a good write-up, but in the column under G11 blue coolant, they say do not mix the Pentosin with "early ZVX 237 105 green coolant". Which is confusing since the ZVX 237 105 is blue not green. Was it green in the early days? Who knows. I think ZVX 237 104 is green, so maybe a typo.

why don't you add distilled water if you just need to top off? a few cups of water won't change the mixture too much

...btw, when you buy Pentosin NF at Napa, it rings up as "AIC G001100" on the receipt.

No on distilled water, thank you. Was looking for the equivalent replacement for what I've been using.
It took a liter. I'm good.

Except where did that liter go...

By using distilled water, you effectively increase the cooling capacity of your system. Just sayin'...

I know. And that does nothing for an engine that's in good working order.
Diluting with water also dilutes the corrosion inhibitors, dilutes the lubrication properties, raises the freezing point, and lowers the boiling point.
Doesn't matter to me because I am not considering it. Just looking to see if anyone knew the replacement for ZVX, and I found the answer.
