New guy, first post, making the daily driver pretty
So this thing sat in my backyard for like a year and a half with a fuel leak and a few imperfections here and there. I accepted a position with a new company that effectively increased my drive to work from 18 minutes to an hour so I needed something gas efficient (i.e. not my Expedition). I got the Porsche fixed (battery and a damn 1/2"x5" hose) and started driving it. Couple weeks ago, I got a bug up my *** and wanted to make it nice. Planned on wrapping it but everything lined up and it ended up getting painted.
How it sat
Up and running
Not for long (still working bugs out)
Stripped down and trailered (6/1)
During paint after body
Full color change, done right.
Back from paint/body (6/8 )
Final assembly
Changed the wheels out for Porsche 911 996 twin turbo wheels to compliment the paint.
Next steps include getting it more reliable and change out some of the tired suspension.

Welcome to Rennlist. I could tell you some of the stupid mistakes newbies make, but I'll keep the list really short. Please don't ask if you can add a turbo to your 944.
My 944 is going to be flat-bedded to the local community college this summer as I tear into it and get it back on the road after resting 3 years on jack stands. My suspension had better not be tired.

If the powertrain gets tired in any way, I'll be opting for an engine swap so you don't need to tell me twice, haha.
It was a friend of a friend and I did all of the pre and post work so the quoted numbers wouldn't be realistic for anyone else. We have a good group here, everyone knows how to do something.
Oh, and I'm not quite new, signed up over a year ago
