Default Best steering wheel for the money

okay im in the market for a new steering wheel but im not sure what to get. i really like the look of a suede momo wheel but they are just so expensive for a wheel and adapter. so any input on wheels would be great.
this is what im looking at
http://www.amazon.com/Momo-R1909_35S-Suede-Steering-Wheel/dp/B00067XZAY http://www.amazon.com/Momo-R1909_35S-Suede-Steering-Wheel/dp/B00067XZAY

PICS or it didn't happen!

Buy your adapter, and then troll the 911 forums here and on Pelican. Those guys change wheels like it's their job.

My favorite wheel is the Monte Carlo. I had a race evo but I got it autographed and now it's on my wall at work... I like the Monte wheel better anyway.

Also, if you're tall, get the eccentric adapter at Pelican. it makes a world of difference.

this is one area where i love the Porsche wheels. the 964/968 CS wheel is the bomb.

second choice would be the 996/Boxster variant wheels.

making the 996/Boxster/Carrera GT wheels fit requires machine work but well worth it imo

i got my carbon 996TT wheel from L.A. Porsche for $125 + $500 for airbag... some ****.....

I think a good momo goes best with the early dash. I do agree that a cs wheel looks perfect with a late car.

I have a MOMO nero in mine. It looks good, although I'm going to get my original one redone and put that back on at some point. I just prefer original stuff.

My brain cannot compute how an eccentric steering wheel adapter works. Any details?

If you don't need an airbag wheel...I just picked up suede covered Momo Mod 07 for my 968 DE car...figure about $260 new for the wheel and adapter...I lucked out and recently got a nearly new one from fellow Rennlister.

This wheel is the same wheel that Porsche used in 993/996 cup cars.

The Momo wheels are really great. I bought a Momo "Race" for mine and the "titanium" metal fnish really goes with my interior. The Porsche badge horn button was purchased separately but a "Momo" button comes with it. The wheel was around $240 and the Adapter was $74 and the button was around $30. I would suggest avoiding suede wheels because it doesn't take long for that finish to show wear from dirty hands, body oil, etc. Mine is glove leather and Alacantra is also available.
