Finally, after 3+ years of it sitting there, I installed the remote entry and it works like a charm!

So, why did it take 3+ years? Honestly, I hated trying to be a contortionist just to get to the wiring harness under the dash. I had to remove the seat so I could clear a jam from my seat covers. So, I took advantage of all the room I had available. Wow, after 29 years under the seat really, I mean REALLY needed to be vacuumed. Oh the other positive, the previous owner lost a $10 bill under the seat too. :-)

Note that the link doesn't take you to an active item for sale.

Posting the model number or other relevant information might be helpful.

The original poster included a great write up that outlined the wiring. All I did was then match up by color the wiring harness wires to the corresponding wires on the control module. That took me all of maybe 5 minutes which included the time it took to find a pen that had ink. LOL!

Installed the keyless on my powered lock 1989 944 NA yesterday. I followed Squatting Ninja's the instructions and all worked like a charm,

I hooked up the position lights instead of the hazard lights. I connected the control unit directly to the wires coming out of the light switch. For those interested, left parking light is Grey/Black wire and right is Grey/Red.

Thanks!

Martin
